Star Cross ✝

Perhaps it's just a result of a whole week of museums in Italy, i.e. the most Catholic country in the world but, my brain is more or less a blur of jewels, gold, crosses, the Madonna, and the rest of the extra glamour that comes with Catholicism.
It makes for interesting inspiration when their chapels and cathedrals are almost ridiculously splattered with gold, jewel colored themes, so many candles you wonder why it hasn't burned down yet and most definitely ridiculously huge and elaborate shrines for Mary.
It all seems so beautiful yet, it all feels so dark to me and slightly uncomfortable at times knowing the filthy, bloody past that comes with the religion.
Which, in a nut shell, still makes for good inspiration.
Heres an inspiration board for some new designs:

Alexander McQueen FW 2010
This would be my favorite Alexander McQueen collections if I even had to begin to choose one. He continuously created ground breaking pieces that the world had never witnessed on ideas that no one dared to even imagine. This collection especially. I love that he created some of his best work with motifs from The Dark Ages and The Renaissance; which were dark times indeed yet, he saw the beauty in it and turned it up to it's highest volume and potential we didn't even know it had.

Designs to come soon.
